As of today, about 100,000 people have recovered from COVID-19 in Pakistan! This is such great news to hear and think about. People around the country have taken a sigh of relief and thanked GOD as they heard something positive. As the number of cases began to rise in May, an air of despair took over the whole country but there was one group that had to keep their hopes high. Yes, we are talking about the health sector! Every health professional in Pakistan, in the past few months, has put their lives at stake to ensure the safety of general public and the reality is that we can’t just thank them enough! During this COVID-19 pandemic, pharmaceutical sector considered raising awareness a part of their corporate social responsibility and this news was also shared by many as a remarkable success.

There are some who had the privilege of locking themselves inside their houses when the pandemic began but everybody was not that lucky. In this fight, health professionals are the ones standing on the front line. This fight is against an unseen enemy which ultimately created unprecedented chaos, not just in Pakistan but around the World. Doctors, paramedics, and other health professionals took the center stage in this health emergency. Doctors left their families and started living in isolation and those who went home weren’t even able to pat their children. On top of all this, most of them went on working without proper protective equipment and tried to save as many lives as they could have.

Results of untiring efforts are now in front of our eyes as the number of recoveries soars past 100,000. This news, not only boosts the morale of general public but also of the doctors and everyone involved. 100,000 recoveries mean more patients to donate plasma and more lives to be saved.
This fight, however, has not been an easy one and is not yet over. People still have to practice social distancing, wear masks, and wash hands if they want the number of cases to go down. A Pakistan multinational pharmaceutical company, in particular, tried its level best to let people know that now is not the time to let the guard down.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic times have changed, as we have witnessed, but it won’t always remain the same. There’s always light at the end of the tunnel and this news is proof of that. If we will keep on following instructions and practicing precautions, then chances are that we’d be out of this in no time.
