As unexpected as the year 2020 has been, the entertainment has really gotten us stunned. It unravels some of the most excellent movie productions we have come across in the past few years. Although we were expecting a lot more for this year, the pandemic could not give us the most of it. Star Trek: Picard (2020)
Star Trek: Picard – one of the most anticipated movies of 2020, has an IMDb rating of 7.5 out of 10. It stars some of the great legends, including Patrick Steward, Alison Pill, Evam Evagora, and others. After the Destruction of Romulus, Starfleet retreats to evacuate Romulus as per a prior commitment. The “Children of Mars” consummated with a battalion of Rogues attacking the Mars colonies. However, this season sets forward a series of unexemplary events which could lead to a Galactic Conspiracy. The story unravels with Jean Luc Picard being asked for help by a stranger – after some ten years of his retirement.
Hunters (2020)
Hunters – a movie with an IMDb rating of 7.2 out of 10, go back to the late 1970s. The main plot unravels to show a young Jewish in New York City. A secret group of Nazis fighting a covert war against high-ranking officials. You can say it’s just a new drama about Nazi rule trying to establish a Fourth Reich in America. The movie has the famous Al Pacino, Logan Lerman, and Jerrika Hinton, who add a lot more to the movie’s core plot.
Messiah (2020)
A movie in which we see Michelle Monaghan, Mehdi Dehbi, John Ortiz, among others, is a somewhat different movie from the other lot showing Messiah – a boy who explores the different lines between religion, politics, and faith. It writes about a man who out of the blue rises and gathers a hoard of followers around him – claiming to be the Messiah. The story unfolds if he really was sent from God or is a fraud who is aiming to rattle the world’s geopolitical situation. Out of 10, the movie has scores an IMDb rating of 7.6.
Locke & Key (2020)
It is a story of three siblings (starring Frances O’Conner, Jackson Robert Scott, and Emilia Jones) and their mother (Darby Stanchfield) moving out to their ancestral home – the Keyhouse. The family soon discovers the presence of magical keys in their home, which they follow only to find out that it’s connected to their father’s death. In the movie, the three siblings keep finding out different keys and the weird powers that come with them. They actually wake up a particular mysterious demon! The whole movie is an amalgam of loss, love, and the bonds that makes a family.
Snowpiercer (2020)
A season which shows the remnants of human life following a disastrous apocalypse. The season offers the world becoming a frozen wasteland after a period of seven years. It shows how a continuously moving train inhabits people belonging to a different class and how they end up living together. It exhibits class warfare, injustice, and lots of politics for survival. It has an IMDb rating of 6.7 out of 10, which is somewhat lower than some other movies of 2020. It stars Daveed Diggs, Jennifer Connelly, Mickey Summer, Alison Wright as main characters.
