We grew up watching cute, adorable pet mice in movies like Stuart Little and Cinderella. But trust me, they are not at all cute off-screen. Peppermint Oil
Though most of us like the refreshing smell and taste of peppermint but most mice hate the smell. The small creatures have too sensitive noses, and the smell of peppermint happens to be very strong for them. Buy peppermint oil from general stores or the local medical shop and dab it on a cotton ball. Now, place the cotton ball strategically at the entry and exit point of mice, or wherever you have seen them moving.
It is an easy way to drive away mice without killing or even hurting them. This trick works best for indoors as it will help the strong, minty smell to get retained.
Cloves
Just like that of peppermint, the smell of cloves is also too harsh for mice. Wherever you would have placed the peppermint oil dipped cotton balls, place the cloves in similar places.
The smell of cloves refrains them from entering your apartment, but in turn leave your home smell absolutely lovely and fresh.
Aluminium Foil
Almost everyone has aluminium foil stored in kitchen drawers but who know that they are helpful to get rid of the adamant little creatures away from your house? All you need to do is take a piece of aluminium foil and roll it up to form a ball.

The no-kill mouse traps are a classic way to get rid of the mice at home without killing them. Take some food (of their choice) like crackers or salty biscuits and place those inside the trap. The mice will smell the treat and enter the trap.
Once the mouse gets inside the cage, the door behind it will close, with the mouse trapped inside it. Once it is trapped inside the cage, carry it outside and release it in the garden or anywhere away from your home. Your home will be mouse-free yet the mouse will remain alive.
