If you are someone who has brittle nails that never grow then acrylic nails are a Godsend for you. It is ideal for those of us who cannot maintain the ideal length or shape of our natural nails. Acrylic nails allow you to have gorgeous nails for anywhere from 2 to 8 weeks. Acrylic nails are made of powder and liquid polymer and monomer that is turned into a dough, shaped and air-dried. They have been around for quite some time but have gained on popularity, with a few tweaks to the formula, recently.
First of all, you would have to choose a desired nail shape, length and nail art. The first step involves a lot of nail prep and if your nails aren’t prepped correctly it can lead to pain and breakage. The nails are filed, but not too much, then sanitized and sanded. Next is the process of actually putting on the nails by applying adhesive to your nail bed and then attaching the acrylic nails. Then comes shaping and adjusting their size by sanding. And lastly, painting them and some very cool nail art.
The removal process involves filling the acrylics off which can weaken your nails but the damage is not permanent so don’t worry. Expert says that if you’re planning on not removing them anytime soon then you should return to the salon every two to three weeks to fill in the gaps as your natural nails grow.
But beauty comes with a price. They are a little heavy on the wallet and unless you’re really into acrylic nails it might not be for you. Apart from this, they are also a tad bit high maintenance. You may have to get them filed off after a week or two but, good news is that they can be worn for up to 8 weeks with a little maintenance.

Not to discourage you but it may end up in a disaster.
