Burning Pain After Hernia Surgery

It is very common for a hernia surgery patient to experience burning pain after the procedure. Many people are surprised to learn that hernia surgery can cause burning pain since the vast majority of hernia patients do not suffer from this symptom. There are several different reasons why patients can experience varying degrees of burning pain after hernia surgery. The more severe the symptoms, the more commonly patients have to endure these discomforts. However, there are several different treatments for these symptoms. And the ability to pinpoint the exact cause is crucial in finding relief.

What Is A Hernia?

For the most part, this type of pain can be treated with over-the-counter medication such as Tylenol. If you can, you should consider sleeping during the first few days after your surgery. This can help to control the level of stomach bloating that you end up with. If you can keep yourself busy and sleeping for the first few days, you will find that the healing process is less stressful on your body.
