Five Nights at Freddy’s creator Scott Cawthon decided to release a new game as an apology for a Five Night’s At Freddy’s: Security Breach delay. The news came on Reddit this week as the mysterious developer explained that fans would have to wait until late 2021 for the latest installment in the series.
However, the board would be surprised to hear that Security Breach: Fury’s Rage would be released on the web immediately. This is a side-scrolling beat-em-up, so don’t come in expecting the sort of puzzle horror that the FNAF games usually traffic in.
However, for people just chomping at the bit for more of Freddy Fazbear and his friends, this is a very welcome development. It’s been wild to see the hype mount for Security Breach over the last 12 months. Caution’s next game came as a legitimate surprise during one of the early PlayStation State of Play events. That excitement exploded when fans discovered that it would be a free-roaming affair instead of the static gameplay the community was used to.
“Hey everyone, so here is your big Security Breach news for the week. As you all know, Security Breach was originally planned to come out at the end of 2020, but as we kept working on it and kept adding to it, it just kept getting bigger and bigger and needed more time to finish,” Cawthon said this week.
“And now, again, I’ve made the decision to put more time and money into it to make sure it’s finished properly, and that means a late 2021 release instead of an early 2021 release like I had originally wanted. It will be worth it! I know it’s disappointing, but I didn’t want you all to walk away empty handed so I made something for the community”

Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg will produce the adaptation.
Warner Bros. has picked up the rights to Five Nights at Freddy’s, the popular video game series created by Scott Cawthon.
The feature adaptation will be produce by Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment as well as Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg of KatzSmith Productions.
The game takes place in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a darker version of Chuck-E-Cheese, where an animatronic animal band performs kiddy songs by day, and goes on murderous rampages by night. The goal of the game is to survive a night locked inside, knowing that a furry death machine might jump out of the dark at any moment.
“We’re looking forward to working with Scott to make an insane, terrifying and weirdly adorable movie,” said Grahame-Smith.
“The story really lends itself to being a movie, and it taps into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to,” said Cawthon.
The project is currently out to writers.
Adam Stone and Jay Ireland will exec produce. Jon Berg and Nik Mavinkurve are overseeing for Warners.
Lee was a producer on Warners’ Liam Neeson action thriller Run All Night and has the Poltergeist remake due to open May 22. Grahame-Smith and Katzenberg, meanwhile, are developing a Beetlejuice sequel.
The trio are producing Cary Fukunaga’s adaptation of the seminal Stephen King novel It, which is eyeing a summer shooting start.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach has been delayed a second time into late 2021, but its creator has released a free spin-off game in the style of Streets of Rage as an apology.
In a Reddit post today, developer Scott Cawthon explain that the second delay (following its initial move from end of 2020 to early 2021) was due to the game’s scope continuing to get bigger and bigger as work on it progressed.

As an apology, Cawthon has released a new free game entitled Security Breach: Fury’s Rage on Game Jolt. Fury’s Rage is a beat-em-up featuring Five Nights at Freddy’s characters looking quite a bit beefier than normal, and has you walking through city streets, and well, beating up various enemies.
Meanwhile, we’re still a bit in the dark as to details about Security Breach itself, which was announc for PS5, PS4, and PC back in September 2020 and got a new trailer at Sony’s State of Play this past February.

While most mods are available to the public. This version of the Five Nights At Freddy’s mod in Among Us is currently only available to YouTuber SSundee. And his friends.
However, some lucky players may be enter a game in which this mod is in play. So there’s a chance others will be able to access it. And, as with any Among Us mod. Other versions may exist and be available to the public at a later time.
Ever since its release, Overwatch has been design as a family-friendly game, for the most part. While the odd Halloween event is sure to give younger audiences a bit of a fright, Blizzard never goes overboard with the scare factor.
Completely bucking that trend, an ambitious Workshop crossover is here to give players their biggest spook yet. We’ve seen other titles like Call of Duty make their way into Overwatch through the Workshop. But now, one crafty fan has introduced Five Nights at Freddy’s to the mix.
The horror game is translat over on a custom mode in Ecopoint: Antarctica. Throughout the experience, ominous heroes will be tracking you down. While you try to uncover the truth behind a “terrible secret.”
From Genji to Orisa, a good number of popular characters are present in the crossover. Unlike other game modes though, these heroes aren’t here to help. They’ll either be prime suspects in the murder mystery or directly looking to knock you down.
To help defend your location, there’s a handful of security cameras around the map. These will keep you on top of enemy locations while you try to restore power. At any moment, enemies could pounce and try to end your run. It’s critical that you swap over to various cams and make sure no one is getting uncomfortably close.
If they do happen to approach, you better hope there’s enough power left to put up a barrier. Without them, you’ll be wide open for a frightening attack. Thanks to recent advancements with the Workshop tools. The fights are just as shocking as they are in Five Nights at Freddy’s.

While ‘Five Nights at Ecopoint’ already looks chilling, there are still some final frights that need to be added in. The Workshop mode isn’t playable just yet but rest assured it’ll be available soon.
